March......Not so Madness.

Writer: DanthecornmanDanthecornman

If you're a fan of basketball, but absolutely despise the NBA, your not alone. There are several others out there just like you. You look for other basketball to watch, and since most are not likely to watch the WNBA, they turn to college basketball. Specifically in march, cause that is when March madness is. People wait and wait, and when the moment comes, they fill their brackets and will spend the next 2 to 3 days making brackets in order to be the first to ever complete a perfect bracket, but the odds of that happening are 1 in 9.2 Quintillion. Yep. Good luck. Oh, and By the way, All the brackets are busted right now. HA!

March madness has not been very........march madnessy......

In case most of you do not know, March Madness has 64 qualifying teams, including 4 Play in teams, and there are 6 Rounds. 1st Round, 2nd round, Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4, and the NCAA Championship. Normally we would see massive Cinderella dances at this point, but so far have rendered useless. Teams that are seeded 12 - 16 In each bracket usually make a run into the elite 8 before getting eliminated.

Per the history, a Cinderella team can make a deep run as the elite 8, isnt uncommon tho rare, its more likely the Cinderella teams get Defeated in the 2nd round or sweet 16. Last year Oakland beat Kentucky, as a 14 seeded team and made it to the sweet 16 and lost to NC State. The last team to make an elite 8 was St Peter in 2023.

We are currently finishing up the sweet 16 tonight in the South, and Midwest Brackets. South Bracket games tonight are, 1 seeded Auburn vs 5 seeded Michigan and they tipoff at 8:39 CT on CBS, and CBS sports, and the second South game is 6 seeded Ole Miss vs 2 seeded Michigan State and they will tip off at 6:09 on CBS as well. The winners will play in the elite 8 Next week.

In the Midwest Bracket, the Final sweet 16 Games are 1 seeded Houston vs 4 Seeded Purdue, who lost in the Final last year,, and they will tip off at 9:09 PM CT on TNT/Trutv. The second Matchup will be 3 seeded Kentucky vs 2 seeded Tennessee, and they will tip off at 6:39 PM CT on TNT/Trutv.

Enjoy these Games tonight,

Cornman, OUT!
