Hiya folks! Life’s been driving me cray, hence the absence of blogs. But I decided to just get this one done. I missed writing them…and laughing at them.
This is from December 2023 during my soccer tournament. It was a pretty warm day—or so I thought. My teammate (let’s call her Malia) thought otherwise.
Malia: Am I the only one who’s cold?
Me: Bro you’re wearing a hoodie.
Malia: Exactly. Coz it’s cold.
Me: Nah I’m hot.
Malia: Aiiiiiii OH MY DAYS!! OKAY RACHELLE, YOU DIDN’T NEED ANNOUNCE IT—
Me: That’s NOT what I meant. You know what I mean.
Malia: *starts calling to a couple other teammates* Did you guys hear Rachelle? Bro, she said she’s hot. Aii!
I couldn’t get another word in to defend myself as to what exactly I meant by declaring that I’m hot. Seriously though, who would talk about themselves in that way?? As if I’d want to announce that—you know what, never mind.
Btw a good bit of this convo was a mix of Swahili and English so it doesn’t sound as funny like this but oh well.
