As a musician, there are many....many....many frustrating moments where you wanna give up or change to what people like. But I heard an analogy for God's plan for your life the other day that I thought I should share. Gods plan was compared to a GPS-like... mind is blown, right? Ok maybe not but just hear me out before you click away! How many people here remember the OG GPS? If not then it was called Tom Tom... and this sucker only let you see a quarter mile ahead... you couldn't zoom out... you couldn't move the screen. Just a quarter mile. Now, what sparked my interest is that they compared it to a GPS... not a map. With a map, you see the entire route, the entire state at times.
But here's the hilarious part... if you didn't follow the OG Tom Tom... and went more than about 100yrds off-route the GPS shut off. A Map doesn't... but a map doesn't give you directions... you have to figure it out yourself. And the best part is... you can still get lost with both of them!
Gods plan for our life is like that too! If we don't follow His directions that he has given us we get lost. If we trust the map (Knowledge) but don't know how to use it (Eagle scout here this is VERY common to not know) it's useless and we still get lost.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
